Who You Talk To

When you call Firmsit Mold Help, your call is routed to an independent mold provider that serves your part of the Glendora area. The person who answers works for that provider, not for Firmsit Mold Help. Their team is the one that will inspect your home, give you an estimate and, if you choose, do the work.

Firmsit Mold Help is a referral service. We do not employ inspectors or remediation crews, and we do not send our own staff to your home. We think you should know that before you call.

What Happens on the Call

The provider's team will usually ask a few questions to understand your situation:

  • Where do you see mold or notice a musty smell?
  • Roughly how large is the area?
  • Has there been a leak, flood or high humidity in that part of the home?
  • Do you want testing, removal or both?

Answer as well as you can. It's fine if you don't know everything yet. The goal is to help the provider plan the visit and bring the right equipment.

What to Ask a Provider

You're inviting someone into your home to handle a problem that can feel worrying. It's smart to ask questions. Here are the ones we suggest:

  • Is your crew trained to IICRC standards? The IICRC publishes widely used standards for mold remediation. Ask whether the people on your job hold current training or certification.
  • Are you licensed and insured? Some states license mold assessors and remediators. Ask for proof of liability insurance and any license required in California.
  • Will I get a written estimate? It should list the work areas, the containment plan, what will be removed and the expected cost.
  • How will you contain the work area? Ask about plastic barriers, HEPA air scrubbers and negative air pressure.
  • How will we know the job is done? Ask how the provider checks their work, and whether clearance testing is recommended.
  • What caused the mold? A good provider will point out the moisture source so it can be fixed.

You Are in Control

You never have to hire the provider we connect you with. Take your time, ask questions and get other quotes if you want to. Each provider is an independent business that sets its own prices and terms and is responsible for its own work.

If something doesn't feel right, tell us. Your feedback helps us keep our network honest. You can reach us at contact@firmsit.living.
